In this experiential session combining song and learning, we will unpack this practice and explore melodies designed to unearth the spiritual potential of this component of our sedarim.

Learn and sing with Rabbi Aviva Richman and Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz during Hadar’s Pre-Pesah Yom Iyyun. We often picture the prophet Miriam as a vibrant and joyful dancer, tambourine in hand, embodying confidence—even exuberance—in redemption.  Yet reflecting on the arc of her life, Miriam surely experienced much anxiety, doubt, and even bitterness. Through an exploration of Miriam’s journey as brought to life through text and music, we’ll tease out the vibrancy of her fleeting moments of inner clarity—in her youth and old age—and also linger on the decades of doubt and uncertainty that filled most of her life. This session will interweave learning, song, and reflection. Register.

Through Joey's teachings in this series, you will develop the aesthetic and spiritual sensitivity to both lead and step out of the way, empowering diverse groups of people to lift and transform their prayers into powerful, collective song. This webinar is part of a subscription-based program ($18/month) based on Joey’s virtual library of nusach videos designed for all levels of prayer leadership experience.
